Specialty?? Nothing special. Being an avid baker my trip to Baby Cakes was well over due. The location is perfect. Down-town Willoughby’s atmosphere is great. With fall beginning to show its colors I enjoined walking around and window shopping on my way. As I entered my first impression was wow this place smells amazing. Apparently if you don’t get there early enough there isn’t much to choose from as most of the displays where bare or only had one or two cupcakes to choose from. I found the appearance of the cupcakes nothing special. Some actually looked pretty sloppy. I picked a pumpkin cupcake and a french toast one ( I think). The packaging was adorable! I got back to the office & cut each cupcake in half to share with my partner in crime. I cut right into the pumpkin one first b/c well I LOVE pumpkin anything especially ones with cream cheese as this was described as having.. It was NOT good.. First of all you could not taste pumpkin at all. Second the frosting was really gritty and just as I said before not good. I would go as far to say it was disgusting. My co-worker did think it was disgusting, but she did not care for it. The cinnamon french toast was ok. But nothing special and definitely not worth $2.50.. I’m happy that I finally made it in but am sad it wasn’t all I had hoped. I will not be returning.
