Great bbq. I will drive from Akron in a heartbeat for this food. Briskett salad, smokey baked beans, turnip greens and pulled pork better than ever!!!!! Kind server in this authentic bbq joint. Go get some bbq!
It was nasty! The meat was dry and way over priced. Tiny portions and it made my husband throw up. We will NEVER go back!
Good pulled pork, fast service. Stopped by for some BBQ on a Friday night around 7 – it is a cozy restaurant with checkered tablecloths where you place your order at the counter and seat yourself. I got the pulled pork entree (so did my friend), which came with two sides. The pulled pork is served smoked, and you can add as much BBQ sauce as you like from the bottle on your table. For sides, I got the mac and cheese and Texas beans. The pulled pork was tender and had great flavor, and the Texas beans had the perfect amount of spice. The mac and cheese was okay, but next time, I’m going to try a different side – maybe the sweet potato casserole! Overall, a great place to grab a quick dinner – from when I walked in the door to when my food was ready was less than 5 minutes!
BBQ ribs were meaty and fell off the bone. The beans were A+++. Potato salad was tasty. Friend’s mac and cheese was so so. I would recommend and return when passing through Wooster.
The pulled pork here is just awsome. Sweet and juicy, vinagar based bbq sauce on the side. Just excellent. Ribs truely are very dry, but the spice rub is nice. Go pulled pork, its cheaper than ribs and its so very very good!
Excellent BBQ. Love this place. The ribs are delicious, the hush puppies are the best. My family loves the pulled pork sandwich and brisket. Just walking in makes your mouth water.
Real BBQ. I have been cooking BBQ on Big Green Eggs for over 10 years. I have been to Texas, lived in the Carolinas, Alabama, and so on. You get the idea. I love true BBQ and its hard to find in northern Ohio. Until now. I have eaten here 3 times and the latest was yesterday for lunch. This place is set up the way a BBQ place is supposed to be set up. Real smoke smell inside and out. Cheap tables and chairs, tablecloth, etc. Its actually a pretty upscale place compared to some of the places I have visited in the South. The food is outstanding. Like most southern or Texas style places they never seem to get the chicken right. At least this place makes it edible. I can’t say that for most places I’ve visited over the years. Pulled pork is spot on. The real reason I will always keep coming back here is the brisket. It reminds me of the brisket I have eaten in Texas. Looks like it. Smells like it. Tastes like it. Succulent. Moist. Tender. Pulls apart easily with your fingers.Sides are outstanding as well. Beans are made here. With pork in it and has that wonderful smoke taste. Hush puppies are the best I’ve had since Alabama.Anyway. I’m a huge fan. If you want to try real Texas BBQ then this is the place for you.
