Best thing about Wooster. Tulipan is definitely my favorite part of Wooster, a piece of the heart of Europe in the middle of a fairly dismal Ohio town. Owners are actually Hungarian and speak the old tongue, and the pastries are the most authentic I’ve tasted in this part of the country. Try the excellent dobos torta for a real piece of Hungary. Everything here is great…what a classic. Always reminds me of home.
Serene in Wooster, Ohio. Tulipan is perfection. Every little thing about this charming pastry shop shows attention to detail. My coffee was excellent. The lemon glazed cheesecake was delightful. We had a nice conversation about The Ohio Light Opera with the lovely woman behind the counter. I gained three pounds gazing at the pastries. Every time we go to Wooster we’ll return to Tulipan.
Strudels are not super sweet and spiced nicely. Open faced sandwiches are nice and fresh. The omelet slices are just great. Everything is fabulous!
What a great find! Wonderful scrumptious old world pastries you can hardly find anymore and good coffee in a great atmosphere – looks European and owner is baker. Simply delightful.
Best latt in town, hands down. They have fantastic pastries as well (perfect for eating with coffee; they are sweets that are not too sweet). The problem? No wifi nor a wireless router. I would work here 5 days a week if they were to invest in a wireless router and set up a password. It pains me that they don’t have accessibility, as I teach online and would be happy to work from this little haven!
Love it!. Tulipan is consistently wonderful. the food, the coffee, and the atmosphere make it one of my favorite places in wooster!
Downtown Gem. We always take house guests to Tulipan and they always request a return visit. It is the most beautiful atmosphere, with adorable tables, downtown character, and friendly service. This is a great place for breakfast or brunch, or a little stop-in for some coffee and pastries. It’s my long-term goal to try everything in the dessert area!
