My mom’s favorite place around!. I’ve eaten here with my parents a few times, and though one time the wait for service was a little too long, the food has always been good for us. The atmosphere is more upscale than most places in Wooster, too, so that’s a plus. Not outstanding, and not my favorite, but not bad, either.
Not inspiring. The Thai Basil Chicken was pretty bland. The items sound great on the menu but were fairly boring on the plate. Note to the kitchen, lay off the predictable water chestnuts, baby corn, mushroom, green pepper medley which seems to exist in all the menu items.
We just moved back to Wooster, used to eat at the original generations diner downtown, and then followed them out on 585. The food really got bad, after a while and we were hoping that, after all of this time, there would be a new quality in the kitchen, particularly since the prices are very high for what is being served. Unfortunately, the food (we had it delivered), was crap. All of it. The worst eggroll I’ve had in years, tough skins on the rangoon and shrimp dumplings, the filling was barely there in the rangoon and the shrimp filling was very dry. Unseasoned, overcooked rice in the suchi and fish that was not fresh, or well cut on nigiri that was very undersized and overpriced. The chicken dish was white meat instead of the more flavorfull and moist white meat, and was dry….the crispy noodle garnish, no crisp….the whole meal was terrible! And incredibly expensive crap……Don’t go, don’t order in….yuck!!!
Great place. The sushi isn’t bad, especially for being the only one in Wooster. The half off sushi Tuesdays are great but busy, and are for sushi and sashimi, not for sushi rolls.
