Miss Unhappy. My job is close and one of my co-workers said it was a nice place for something different, I ordered the Dibi – Lamb and what I can say is it was spicy, some of my meat was very dry and old looking and some was just fatty but since I didn’t know what I was getting once the person at the counter showed it to me, I asked if that was what it was to look like, and he said yes. I may try one more time but I need and require fresh food, just prepared food, not dried, over cooked, tuff, chewy lamb meat. We at my job was thinking we had a new place to eat lunch and dinner at daily but if left to me and it is this will not be that place.
I love this place. Having visited Africa, the favors and styles remind me very much of the food there. The lunch specials are incredible, the the portions are always enormous (nearly two full meals depending). The prices are amazingly low for what you get as well. I love their Dibi and Thiebu Yap (both lamb) dishes. The plantains are excellent as well. Don’t expect a fine dining experience, but with the native employees, chefs, and patrons, there is a very nice atmosphere. The only reason I don’t eat here all the time is because the food is a little on the greasy side, but it’s absolutely delicious. Also be sure to try the ginger or hibiscus juices.
Savory, diverse, and flavorful! We had what we consider some of the best couscous ever! The customers and staff were very kind. We had three dish choices so we ordered them all. Each one was different but excelled our expectations. Thank you Teranga!
SMALL SELECTION, BUT GOOD!. This restaurant has some foods you won’t find outside of Africa (juices, etc) and for what you spend you get a LOT of food! The menu is rather limited in variety, but it’s GOOD. This restaurant is small and not fancy (to say the least), but the food is great! At the very least it’s something different. Me and my friends LOVED it!
So good!. Since visiting Senegal, I have been a fan of West African food. When I am craving one of their sandwiches or stews, it’s great to know that Teranga is open seven days a week. The staff is friendly & helpful and used to assisting first-time customers. In addition to delicious food – I love all of the lamb and chicken dishes – this is a great spot for people watching.
