Roosters is new to Zanesville, jumping into the old Ruby Tuesday location, so went there after 6 months after they got the bugs worked out. We NEVER go to any restaurant when it first opens. Three Hostesses at the entrance just told us to sit where we wanted to (why 3 of them were standing there doing nothing is beyond me!) Glancing in the bar, it seemed really small with a bunch of tables that had not been bussed. Wandered around til we found a clean booth in the dining room area. (many had not been bussed either) After looking at menu furnished at the table for a least 10 minutes and watching a ton of kids run up and down the aisles, waitress finally showed up and took our drink order. It took at least 15 more minutes to get a water and a bar item. She then took our main orders. Food actually came out in a timely fashion. There are TV’s everywhere, some with cartoons, but I did not see one TV tuned to sports at all. Later, someone said it was kid’s nite, so no wonder all the commotion and Sponge Bob on every screen. Wings I had were cooked well, nice and hot, but it’s weird they leave the non-meaty tips attached which make them hard to eat, and if you want just the drum part you have to pay more. Never been to a place that does that. Basically it was a non-impressive experience, waitress was so-so, food just OK, and overall it just seemed cheap and sparse with a very loud atmosphere. Probably won’t return.
