Experience not for the Squeamish. You know, I don’t go into a place looking for negatives, but our experience here is probably one of the worst I have ever had at any restaurant. We had picked this establishment after a long day at work. There was a huge party going on in the center of the dining room. Kids running everywhere, food on the tables and the floor, balloons all over the ceiling. We were seated way over to one side (Thankfully) but should have walked back out the door….I apologize beforehand, this is lengthy, but read on…..If you dare:Observing from where we sat, the party was for an older gentleman who was passed out (yes, passed out!) in his chair, and the people surrounding him were very loud & drinking beer and Margaritas like water. The kids present were loud and running around, poking at the guy and making fun, and all of a sudden he woke up with his head tilted back and literally barfed a huge volumnous fountain of liquid food and beverage all over the table and the floor. As his family then proceeded to carry him out the door, we and most of the other patrons got up and left, with the exception of the people in the bar area who were oblivious. The manager was nowhere to be found, & even after we asked where he was, nobody knew or wanted to fess up if they did know. No apologies, no making amends to anyone walking out the door. I immediately wrote directly to Corporate and told them of the fiasco, and we got an apology with a gift certificate in exchange. 8 months later we were brave enough to go back and use the certificate, and I brought up the fact we were there when that incident happened. The waitress knew & told us the manager was fired over that, so something good came out of it. But, after the gift certificate use we have never returned, and I can’t really be honest about any food ratings because of the bad memories. I certainly hope they have changed their party policy and things have gotten better there, but I just don’t have the stomach to go back………
Just ok. Stopped here in need of a late lunch/early dinner while passing through Zanesville on the way home to Indiana. We’ve been here before and had problems that last visit. We were hoping that this visit was better.first, our waitress seemed a bit scatterbrained. She took our drink orders and because we were super hungry we also ordered some loaded fries. She waited till the fries were ready to bring our drinks out to us.the fries were good… waffle fries topped with queso cheese, chopped tomatoes and sour cream. for the cost of the appetizer and considering how cheap waffle fries are it was a super small portion. We then both ordered 6 oz steaks, cooked medium rare. We forgot to ask them not to drown them in salt…. like other posters have mentioned, they way overdo it on the salt which is sad because it ruins the experience.my steak was overdone but it took so long to get i didn’t want to have to wait for another.the steak flavor was ok. We’ve had much better steaks at our local Texas Roadhouse in Indy.Mac and cheese was ok, but nothing spectacular.all in all it was pretty expensive for what we got and the quality fo the food and service.the last issue i had was that we paid with cash. we needed change to give the waitress the tip. she assumed that she got to keep all the change and never came back to the table until she realized we were waiting for our change. It was pretty ballsy to think that she just automatically got to keep all the change as the tip!
Nice staff but crappy food….. They need to lose their salt shaker!
Steak was cold and was composed more of gristle than meat. They got almost everyone’s order wrong at our table. Weak drinks and mediocre desserts. I was not impressed whatsoever. Also the steak knives were terribly dull!
Nothing more than crappy chain food. Don’t waste the money or time. Only restaurant I’ve been to in Zanesville so far so no recommendations at this point.
