What to expect. Contrary to other reviews, Charlie’s is one of the few fast foodish places in BA that you can get real home-cooked vegetables. I love to get green beans, tomatoes and zuchini, black-eyed peas, broccoli salad, carrot salad. All good. Green salad is iceberg lettuce. Yes, the chicken is greasy- it’s fried chicken. It is supposed to be greasy. They also have the fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese that you see at KFC or other chicken places.
