Not a fan. Me and my church band go out to breakfast every Sunday morning after practice. After our favorite doughnut shop changed ownership and started to go downhill, we branched out and found ourselves at Jake’s for a few Sundays. The service was pretty good. Regular refills and attentive waitresses. They were accommodating with any requests we had, as well. The food was average, but inexpensive. It’s the kind of food that I don’t really consider writing a review about. The kicker was that the water would occasionally have this horrible old ice / soapy taste to it, and it would completely ruin any appetite you had. Asking for a replacement didn’t do anything to improve the flavor, so I assume it’s simply in the ice. We thought it was a fluke the first time, but when it happened again on a subsequent visit, we were done.I hope they’re able to find and fix this problem. If you plan on ordering soda, I think you’ll probably be fine, and it’s worth going there just to see if the food is to your liking. For us, though, we’ll be moving on.

Good Place To Eat. Good food, good prices, doesn’t get much better then that. Home cooked comfort food with a great staff and good service.

This place could definitely use a facelift and a good sweep and mop!We were seated and 30 seconds later food was delivered. Waitress said someone is already sitting here…..she must have went to restroom. So we were moved to a new table. Service after that was ok.Had the Philly Cheesesteak omelette and it was really good. My gal had the chicken fried steak with eggs. She says the steak tasted like a cheapo artificial piece of meat. She was not impressed with this place at all. I told her its a dive….what do you expect?

Poor Upkeep, Poor Service, Below Average Food. My wife have been coming here for about 2 years. It seems it’s been steadily declining. Pretty much everything has gone downhill: the food, the service, and the general upkeep of the place. Apparently, we’re not the only ones that have noticed. It was noon on a Sunday and this place was only half full, so what does that tell you?On this particular visit we were greeted by a restaurant in bad need of a coat of paint, a waiter that obviously wanted to be anywhere but at work, and undercooked food. To top it all off, the credit card machine broke when we were paying and leaving and were kindly informed we may get double-billed as a result. We won’t be back.

I’ve dined here for years and steadily have seen the decline in service. Seems like there are always different servers and each are less than experienced, often having to remind them to refill my coffee/drinks. However, food is always hot and fresh.

Love it.. I absolutely love this place, my family’s came since day 1. Plus, they remodeled it so it’s an upgrade in my mind. A++++++

Delicious Hole In The Wall. After last Sunday’s breakfast at Broken Egg, we decided to try something with no 30 minute wait this time. We had passed this little hole in the wall the week before and noticed that it had a respectable gathering of cars in the front, so I suggested it for this week. We were seated right away in a table made for our family. The tables were fun to look at and made with advertising for various local businesses all over them. The food was fast and delicious and the pricing was fair. My only complaint was that they only served Pepsi products which I hate. The Meat Lover’s omlette I had was delicious and huge. The kids loved their chocolate chip pancakes and hubby liked his french toast combo. We will definitely be back.
