Just AWESOME!!!. I ordered cake for my daughters 1st birthday party from Merritts and it was a big hit. Got so many compliments for both look and taste.
Not Good!. I ordered a cake from here for my son’s birthday, it was very dry and did not taste good. I was referred to Bubble Bee Bakery by a friend for my wife’s birthday and they by far blow away Merritt’s. Their white cake is the best I have ever eaten and the icing was just right (not so sweet that it feels as if your teeth will fall out).
AMAZING!!!!. I am originally from Tulsa and live in a different state now. There are not any good bakeries here where I am, every time I come to visit I have to pick up a Merritt’s Cake, the occasional cupcake, some cookies, and of course a couple of doggie cookies. Merritt’s is the best bakery ever! Their cupcakes trump Sprinkles in L.A. and the cake is to die for, cookies are tasty. I have been coming to Merritt’s for 20+ years. We order numerous cakes a year (even being out of state I still order at least 2 a year). Customer service is usually A+. I have NEVER had anything taste bad (if anything they have surprised me a few times with some new flavors)!!! I have visited some of the top bakeries across the US and have found Merritt’s is competitively priced. They are more expensive than Wal-Mart as they should, since their items are considerably better. I love this place and will continue to visit every time I am home!
The Jenks location is rude and very unfriendly! My 4 year old had received a coupon to get a free cookie from the library reading program. I took her to the counter and the lady handed it to us but had an annoyed tone in her voice and a perturbed look on her face. Don’t think we will be back to that store any time soon!
Pricy. My boyfriend loves their sugar cookies with buttercream icing… but I have to say, almost $12 for 6 cookies is just a little too much.
Overpriced – Nothing to write home about. Tried it after so many reviews and don’t get the hype. It is not the type or quality of food i would expect from gourmet bakery. I can make it better at home.
Absolutely the WORST customer service EVER. I placed an order and two days before I was to pick up my order I called to confirm. The RUDEST, most DISRESPECTFUL & IGNORANT heffer informed me that they didn’t have an order for me & called me a liar when I insisted that I had actually come in to the store to place it. She argued with me and repeatedly told me that I was lying. I was so upset when we hung up. Two days later, they actually called me to ask when I was to pick up my order! I could not believe it! I explained to the lady what had happened on the phone with the other lady and she told me that conversation couldn’t have possibly of happened b/c they were a Christian company. By then I had it and I told them I would rather eat the a$$ of an armadillo than to ever eat anything they ever made. I don’t know who manages that business but it is single handedly the worst ran, most disrespectful, unorganized business in Tulsa, hands down!
