There's nothing special about the food. In fact, the potatoes tasted instant, and I'm convinced everything else was trucked in and warmed up, not made…

Good, but not special. When I went it was fairly slow, so my service was good. I had a question about a side and they brought out a sample to try. Was satisfied with amount of food. Food didn’t blow me away, but was good. I’d go again
Cool decor, mediocre food, and lousy wait staff.. First time I ate there was the best of all and that’s not saying a lot. Food sounds good when reading the menu, but lacks great taste. Last visit my 17 yr old daughter said, at these prices it should have tasted better… And I was paying not her. Portions are fine and it’s okay if you just need to stop and get a bite close to home. Personally, my advice is not to go out of your way. Ohhh, the Koi ponds are really cool as well as the decor inside. Reminds you of being in a lodge. Back bar area is the best place to dine when they are busy.
Bad Groupon Experiance. Bought the Groupon – service was…sub par. Minimal at best. Potato’s were cold, toppings were boarding on flavorless, and it was hardly something worth paying 15.00 for. I have no idea how their regular food tastes, but after such a bad first experience, will never go back to try again.
I lost the bet but I won overall. A coworker and I had a bet and if I lost he picked the restaurant. I lost and he picked Stone Mill BBQ and Steakhouse. I’d never been before and he said they have the best rib-eye in town. He was right. Started out with appetizers; onion rings and stuff jalapeno’s; salad and then my rare rib-eye. OMG; cooked just the way I like it along with a wonderful baked potato. We ate in the bar and unfortunately I didn’t get our servers name but it was all wonderful. WE WILL BE BACK!
Groupon Gone Bad. Had the 2 person spud Groupon today. Kelly was our server. Spud was semi warm, Cobbler was cold. Asked for a to go drink. Kelly told us they were out of to go cups. When we were leaving I asked the host if I could have a to go drink and she gladly went and got me one. Smooth move Kelly, I don’t like cold food or liars. Won’t be returning.
Great Place to Eat. We just had a large (70 plus) ladies luncheon at the restaurant and the service was great! The meats were flavorful, tender and moist. The owners were courteous and willing to meet our groups needs as were the waitresses and other staff. Best of all, the event was a hit thanks to Stone Mill BBQ & Steakhouse!
Bad Service. I had the occasion to go here in early afternoon. The waitress (Neva) was training someone new. The service initially was good, but once the order was placed and food delivered to our table, never saw the waitress again at our table. Finally when done eating, we actually stood up trying to get the waitresses attention to get the ticket. She walked right by us and went to another table. Finally my daughter headed towards the register with me following. She encountered the waitress at the end of an aisle and had to ask for the ticket in order to pay. If she was training another person, she should be training her to be attentive to all tables for (ice tea refills, etc.) You shouldn’t have to ask for the ticket.
