Best coffee in town. I go here regularly. The coffee is consistently delicious and they make such a pretty cup of coffee I almost hate to drink it. The ladies working there are always friendly and courteos.
While waiting at the library yesterday I decided to check this place out. The menu was bright, colorful, and the font (handwriting) was neat and big enough to read clearly (unlike some other coffee shops I can think of). The ladies behind the bar, despite my abashed nature, were very kind and funny while still being helpful (funniest part: a regular named Gloria came in and I loved the way the girls actually seemed like they were aware enough to not only know but greet and have the order already down pat). When I got my coffee I laughed out loud at the adorable bunny that rested in my latte. My day from the bunny and the A-MAZING latte was made A WHOLE lot better and I truly left with a smile on my face! I can not wait for my next trip to downtown for more great drinks and service!!

Wonderful food – taste the quality. I love being able to get a piece of fresh fruit with my panini (or sandwich) instead of only chips. The pizza on hermes flatbread is great. The most delicious item is when they have fresh baked whole wheat chocolate chip cookies with whatever type of nut they have that day! They also provide great service – I call in and get them to save me a particular fruit & a cookie so it will be there later when I finally get out for lunch. A great local lunch place!
Very good sandwiches and coffee. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwiches and coffee at 1st Edition. Don’t let the fact that it’s inside the Downtown Library fool you – this is the best coffee shop downtown. The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients and usually include a unique twist – pesto spreads, fresh herbs, marinated steak / chicken, etc. Definitely give it a try if you work downtown!
Good. Coffee drinks are great! Just like Starbucks. Great Frio (Frappacino) drinks.
Wonderful!. I visit this cafe a few times each week, and very much enjoy everything they have to offer. Their coffee drinks are properly made and great tasting. Their pizzas and sandwiches are awesome! The mulligatawny soup is some of the best soup I’ve ever had in my life! They make their own FRESH fruit juices right before your eyes! This is not just some average cafe, it’s a really special place with really great foods, AND it’s very vegetarian friendly! 🙂
