This isn’t my favorite cupcake place in the city (their icing is way too sweet for my taste). I will say that the ambiance is very fun. The Paris theme is creative and fun. They have a candy bar and themed rooms you can rent out.
IF you like American buttercream (AKA frosting in a can) then by all means get a cupcake here. If you’re a Italian meringue buttercream/ Swiss meringue buttercream frosting fan avoid this place. I received the turtle cheesecake … Meh ….not much rich buttery caramel flavor or cheesecake filling and chocolate cake part was a bit dry, frosting to cupcake ratio was too off , I like more cake than frosting….
Sams scam. I was employed by pinkitzel. During training I was taught to put all frosting containers and other cupcake paraphenala in black heavy duty garbage bags and tie them up so homeless people wouldn’t go through it. Truth is that they buy all their cupcakes pre made and frozen by the dozen from Sams Club. All the frosting is basic and comes in large tubs which they just add flavors like mixing paint. cupcakes are 30 % of their profit. They gain most of their money from the over priced and tacky party rooms. Stop wasting your money here and support other cupcake shops who actually make their cupcakes from scratch, with integrity, and charge equal or less.
This place is horrid!! It’s a complete joke! The atmosphere is charming and the only appeal the store has. Their items are over priced and ridiculous. The entire store, just feels like one giant scam. The cupcakes are by far the WORST!!! The actual cake is so dry you can barely choke it down. It’s not even a decent sized cupcake. They load it with flavored up frosting, that is no better quality than a can of Betty Crockers. If anyone thinks these cupcakes are tasty, perhaps they should just by a box cake mix and make their own? Box cake mix cupcakes out rank these cupcakes!! Do yourself a favor and skip Pinkitzel.
NOT Handicap friendly. Have a friend who is in a wheelchair who complained to the staff about the fact there is no ramp and no handicap parking spot. The staffs response was a shrug. Othe way out we were shocked to realize Pinkintsel company van was parked in the handicap spot and blocking the wheelchair ramp!
Special time with daughter. My daughter were having a special night while dad and brother went to the Thunder game. The store was cute and had a good selection of candy. We ordered hot chocolate and cupcakes. The cupcakes were nothing special and over priced. The hot chocolate was awful. It was boiling hot and weak. It was suppose to be pink, but far from it. It tasted like watered down chocolate powder. Not worth the money I spent.
The store itself is cute, but everything else sucks.Customer service was non existent. The girl who checked me out told me that the cupcakes are from SAMs and so is the frosting they just flavor it. On top of that there’s about two bites of cake and enough frosting to top three normal cupcakes. Their signage is confusing. The music is so loud you can’t speak to the person next to you.
