Soggiest non-smoky BBQ chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Ribs had absolutely no smoke flavor. They must’ve taken a short cut this day and smoked their BBQ meat with no smoke…..humph!
Chilli. Best I’ve had in a long time. Great taste and content was meat, not soup and beans like many other places.
Blah. Mediocre brisket sandwich. Cold and tasteless Mac n cheese that was 3$.. Nope!
We chose the Smokin Okies food truck at H & 8th Friday night and were so happy! My daughter who has will power had the grilled tilapia and dirty rice. Huge piece of fish and rice for $5 and mango salsa on top! Delish! Hubby had the chopped beef sandwich and loved it. I, the one with no willpower, had the SOB (smokin okie burrito) Oh my goodness! Can’t even explain how delicious. Can’t wait to see them again!
Yum Yum!. Smokin’ Okies Food Truck was at my place of employment for a day for a big meeting we were having. I had never heard of them before but I was impressed. They were very nice people, service was fast, and the food was delicious. I had a chopped brisket sandwich and some of their potato casserole. The brisket was very tender and juicy. The sauce was good as well. I would definitely eat their bbq again.
Good stuff recommended. Smokin’ Okies catered the 2nd annual Brewfest at the Harn Homestead last night. The chopped brisket was tender and moist, the smoked 1/2 chicken had a nice smoky flavor and fell off the bone. The potato casserole was way, way better than I expected; it may be the best I have ever tasted. Green beans cooked w/ bacon and onions (?). I am tempted to go to their truck today in the Film District.
Great bbq smoked flavor. Smoked chicken sandwhich & spicy pinto beans – I tried smokin okies for the 1st time at lunch, downtown Oklahoma city had a lunch event with live music 90S tunes of all genre of music during this era. The lines were crazy long , but it was worth it. I chose to eat at Smokin Okies & tried the smoked chicken sandwich with spicy pinto beans. The chicken was well seasoned with that good smoke wood flavor all the way through. The chicken was not dry. The bun was drenched in bbq sauce, was not my favorite. I would have liked the sauce to been on the side because both buns were drenched, which made the toasted bun , not seem so toasted. I dont like wet bread! But the chicken was so awesome it didnt matter. I really like the spicy pinto beans they had jalapeno, bacon and onions. I just wished that the side would have been larger being that sides were ale cart. To go boxes would have been nice too. But I will stop to eat at smoking okies again. And they do take debit cards with a min purchase of $5.00. Cash is always welcomed.
