What I had. Pastrami on French bread, broccoli salad, and a brownie. What I thought. The sandwich was unremarkable, the broccoli salad was so similar to what I have purchased at Walmart I suspect it is not made there. The brownie was OK. However at slightly under ten dollars without drink I think I would have been better off elsewhere. Overall… Meh.
Not a lot as far as selection but good for what it is. I would eat there again, tailgate special. 9.00 for a whole sandwich, a side, and a desert.
Not many options here. The food is good, but it’s nothing you couldn’t make at home and the presentation is equivalent to something you’d get if you made your own lunch. The egg salad is mustard based- a surprise for me since I’m used to a creamier mix (like you’d have if more mayo was used)….not bad, just different. The portions of the side items (broccoli salad & potato salad) are on the small side. They come in little containers that most places put their salad dressing in- not the tiny ones, but the ones that are a bit bigger. They have good no bake cookies and I love the ice they use for the beverages. They only have 2 options for kids though- a PB&J sandwich or a meat, cheese & fruit plate. That was a bit disappointing at first glance, but my son did enjoy the sandwich. The staff are nice and the place was clean. I’ve lived in Edmond for years & didn’t know about this place. It’s hidden in the corned of that Blvd plaza in the SE corner of the Mardel parking lot.
Love this place. Wish I still worked in Edmond just so I could stop by during lunch. I recommend the turkey avocado tailgate. It may seem strange, but it is so good. I suggest calling in your lunch order so you don’t want to wait.
Great pastries but limited. Didn’t eat lunch but friendly service.
The Best!!!. I have been going to McLarens ever since I was 8 years old with my mom. I have been in the military for the last 15 years and still have to stop by every time I am home. Their sandwiches are amazing, I usually get the turkey avacado or ham and cheese on croissant. But, I have to say that the reason for going there will always be the snicker doodles and brownies. You can’t go in without trying one or both. The service has always been amazing, even though the owners changed some 8 years ago or so, the family atmosphere never changed. You want a good sandwhich, dessert at a reasonable price this is your place.
Mclaren’s. If you haven’t tried there food you definately should. While a little pricey, the main thing people tend to purchase there is called a Tailgate special, where you can get a whole sandwhich, any side, 2 cookies or a bar. The chocolate kiss cookies, amazing. And the Turkey avacado on a Crossoint is wonderful! It sounds weird that it has cream cheese on it, but I promise it just accents the flavor of the avacado. It has a wonderful Christian atmosphere and full of hard workers with a smile and ready to serve. (you can also call in cookies, sandwiches and anything else) Also! they have Quiches, which are amazing, they range from, ham, mushroom, brocoli, spinach, and seafood, oh and Soups, each day is a different soup. And if they have it when you get there, Try the Crab salad on a Crossiont it is amazing!
