Chicken / fries were not as special as you’d expect from a restaurant that serves exclusively that…chicken and fries. But food was served hot and I got my money’s worth. My only real complaint was the difficulty of finding a clean table for my family. The two 20 somethings working the front seemed more interested in chin wagging than bussing tables or anything beyond taking orders and putting them on the counter.

Ordinary chicken strips. My daughter said the chicken was awesome, so we had lunch there today. It was chicken strips, ordinary like everybody has chicken strips. Nothing special in my opinion. No selection at all. your getting chicken strips, fries and their sauce. No other sauces, no other menu items, that’s it. It’s not bad, it’s just not awesome and there is nothing else there, just chicken strips with their mediocre sauce.
Pretty Darn Good. Raegan and Ian and I had dinner here this evening. Cane’s is a welcome change from burgers. The chicken was just crunchy enough on the outside, and tender and juicy and flavorful inside. I’m not crazy about the fries, but eat them, and I don’t really like the slaw (it’s not bad, just not my taste).Service was fast and friendly. Our check was $25.15. The tea and Coke were really good. billhensley.wordpress.com
The chicken tasted like cooking oil, the sauce literally made me spit out my food, the chasier fought with me over whether or not there were straws still by the drinks, I was interrupted four or five times during my ten minutes in the resturant by various workers asking if I liked my meal (any one of them could have put more straws in the holder), and the music was so loud that I could barely hear my companions. On the bright side, I liked the ice and diet coke.
I had written the previous review above. I decided to try this again because my friends said I was crazy. It was a LOT better this time. Good temperatures, crispy chicken, not greasy, and even the Cane’s sauce tastes a LOT better and I’m enjoying it. I WILL be back, and this goes to show you just get bad experiences anywhere every once in a while.27 Nov, 2012Wasn’t impressed given all the hype. So hot I couldn’t touch it for 15 minutes (fresh I guess) and the chicken had absolutely NO flavor. The sauce was just ok. Staff was very friendly, but KFC chicken is better and half the price.
First time to eat at Cane’s. The breading is floury tasting and the chicken is dry. The sauce is not tasty at all.
