Really great place for lunch or dinner with a nice variety on the menu, especially if you don’t want the traditional Mexican fare. Yuca and plantains can be found under the Latin side of the menu.
I try to make it in here whenever I am staying in Edmond. I love their tostones! The dipping sauces are so good. I’ve tried multiple dishes from here and each one has been very good.
If you are in Edmond, OK this local Latin food spot is worth the stop. It goes beyond typical Tex-Mex bringing in flavors of the Caribbean and South America. I had the most tender flank steak EVER. And covered in chimichurri (sp?) sauce. Just wow… Reminded me of being in Argentina. The service was outstanding. The owner was serving along with his staff and made sure to stop by and check on everything as well as bussing tables and bringing out food. Well done Zarate’s!
