Hassler’s used to have a senior’s menu that was the best deal in town, but they did away with it. Now I end up paying for more food than I can possibly eat. I wish they had kept the senior’s menu and simply upped the price, because I like to eat small portions. I have never been served a bad cup of coffee, and the waitresses usually do a good job of keeping my cup filled, although this is not a given. The restaurant is now entirely smoke-free, and they only accept cash. I never have to wait for a table, and almost always receive my food within 15 minutes of ordering it, no matter how busy the restaurant might be. If you are bored and simply want to pass the time, sit where you can view the Hiland Dairy that is across the street. Watching the trucks come and go is sort of like viewing tropical fish in an aquarium.If Hassler’s still had a senior’s menu, I would have given it a five-star rating.
