Will not return. While the food and drinks themselves were slightly above average, the service and layout both need an overhaul. It was impossible to sit at a table without being jostled by other patrons, and as another reviewer noted – the music gets louder the longer you’re there. I can’t remember the last time I felt claustrophobic before I went there, but it had been several years.
Quiet and lovely Patio. What an awesome place for patio drinks and a pizza! I stopped in last week for a friends 21st birthday and not only was the bartender super friendly but the server who took care of us outside after we moved to the patio was just as great. She made sure we never got below a 1/4 of a glass of beer and checked back with us often to make sure we were content. It was the perfect evening to enjoy the quaint little patio and made you feel like you didn’t have a care in the worldI would recommend trying their Brewhouse pints which are on Happy hour two different times during the day as well as half off their pizzas! My favorite is the Veggie Pie and man is it good!
So chill. My sister and I wanted to grab dinner and a few drinks in a relaxing atmosphere without being surrounded by TVs and apparently we picked the perfect place. She had a half plate of their chicken nachos and I had the chicago dog as we worked our way down their list of ciders. Our server was very attentive and made great suggestions for beers we might like to try if we liked the ciders. We will be back soon to try some of her suggestions.
Good but service leaves something to be desired. I like the Library, but the service has been hit or miss. The last time I went, the girls just looked at me and continued talking when I tried to order. I waved at them and got as close as I could but they just looked and kept talking. One girl was cleaning near me and saw I was trying to get their attention, but she was unhelpful. I left after 15 minutes and still hadn’t been acknowledged. Some pluses: it is cozy inside, lots of beer options, and they are open on Christmas. (Nice when you don’t have any family around to have Christmas with.)
Good Food and Drinks, Horrible Service. I was here with a couple of friends. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside; the patio was mostly full. After about 15 minutes of watching two waitresses pass by we were finally able to flag one down and asked for a menu. After another 5 minutes, she had passed by several more times, but did not return to our table. We moved inside hoping to have better service. It was fairly busy, so we waited a while for a server to come by our table. After about 10 minutes we flagged down a waitress that was helping the table next to us. She said that she couldn’t take our order and that we would need to find our waitress, then turned and walked away. So my friend went up to the bar and placed our drink and food order. The bartender was actually fantastic and left the bar to bring us our food and drinks and checked on us a couple of times. Before we left (after being there for about an hour and a half), he asked if anyone other than him has waited on us, which they had not.The bartender did a great job of taking care of us, but he shouldn’t have had to leave the bar to take care of a table in the restaurant when he was the only bartender and there were two waitress working. I will probably go again and just sit at the bar.
Amare gli alberi. Love the trees, enjoy the pretzels, pizza and cheese/variety app but be careful of the servers/bartenders. The one who likes to wear stockings with runs in her hose likes to try to spin you on your ticket as well.Spin? Well, she brought the ticket, I gave her a g-note (100) and she brought back some cash and no receipt.RED FLAG #1 (I’ve traveled around the world and when they don’t bring a receipt it MIGHT be because they are hoping you don’t notice that you’ve just been ripped off in the change). (and won’t have anything to check your numbers against with no receipt)I waited and tried to hand motion or catch her eye to get her to come back to the table to discuss the findings but she’d never return. I found it odd since the place is so incredibly small and no other tables had guests (only a couple people at the bar). Finally after about 15 mins, I went to the bar with the change in hand and was about to mention that there’d been a mistake in my change back…. however, before I could get 3 words out, she looked over quick, opened her black book and said, OH, here ya go and threw a $10 at me and started to rush away uncomfortably. The body language and actions said it all — she knew EXACTLY how much she’d shorted me and was ready to produce it before I’d even had the change to say anything! For that, I won’t be back for a while, and when my wife and I do go back, we’ll avoid this girl! She needs to grow a conscious! (and the mgmt needs to take a closer look at staff)…
Great drink specials and chill, relaxed atmosphere, but watch out for all the hipsters, they’re everywhere.
