Nooooooo!. I have eaten Mexican food from Seattle to Miami, New York to Los Angeles…and even Mexico. However; I have never experienced Mexican food as terrible as this restaurant! Everything I ate was far too salted; in fact tasted like it came from a can . They are really expensive for the canned experience. Im extremely disappointed and would never eat this restaurant again..even if I was starving to death.
Graduation night. Kudos to restaurant Los Dos Amigos, in Norman OK. They normally close at 10 pm. After Rei’s graduation, we wanted to eat there. I got there at 9:15 to see what time they close. When they said 10, I frowned and explained about graduation. They said no problem and seated me. As I waited for the rest of the group (6 in all.) the employees were very nice. Then more people came in. They turned no one away, even though 10 o’clock came and went.
Meh…. I can’t say that I love or hate Los Dos Amigos. My parents absolutely love eating here and when I was growing up it would have been the perfect place for ‘Mexican’ food, but that was before I had expanded my culinary knowledge. If you are a big fan of Okie-Mex, this place is pretty good. You get all of the perks of chips, salsa, queso cheese sauce, tortillas, etc. The food is average along the lines with eating at other similiar places such as Chelino’s. The food can sometimes be overly salty. The service is sometimes hit or miss, but is good more often than it is bad. I would say if you are looking for Okie-Mex give it a try; if you want good Mexican food in Norman check out Pepe Delgado’s.
Food was not that good. Servers were horrible. They were talking bad about each other loud enough to hear. Plus our waiter other than take our order and give us our food, he never talked to us. For sure not worth the money.
LOVE IT!! The people are great and the food is always yummy!! Our favorite place to go for sure! Delish!!!
So so place to go. I have not eaten there in years but stopped in with a friend last night. food was okay cheese sauce for chips runny bland salsa tomato based stuff hotter green salsa good, service was spotty we actually had the food delivered and i had to ask for silverware to eat it! too many other places to go in norman for good mexican food for such a so-so experience as this place has nothing out of ordinary to offer
Decent Food, Poor Service. Liked the layout and design. Food was ok (6/10) nothing that stood out. Service was terrible. We had 3 different servers and our second server was interuppted in the middle of my order by what looked like a floor manager and just walked away before i could finish. So they obviously screwed up our drink order and food order. Overall, and this is being very generous : 6/10.
