Best Kept Secret. Even the sign out front reads Midway Grocery and Market, but inside you will find the Midway Deli with a wide variety of interesting sandwiches made large and with top of the class ingredients. Parking is limited, but even if you have to stash your car around the corner, there’s plenty of seating and you’ll probably see some famous faces. Yet make no mistake, the draw here is the incredible food, homemade soups, perfect salads, over the top sandwiches and yummy cookies. Don’t be surprised if even long time Norman residents don’t know about it, the camouflage is that good. However, once you eat there you will be telling all your friends, or maybe not. Solid…. You don’t need to see the menu. It’s your typical deli menu served up high-quality in a classic old grocery store. They have their classics but will make pretty much any sandwich you want on fresh baked bread using Thumann’s meats. Don’t skip the home baked cookies (that cranberry and white chocolate blew me away). Just outstanding.
