Had a late lunch. The restaurant is clean and cute. I had a tuna melt and my dad had the chicken fried steak meal. I am looking forward to trying breakfast. The food and service were quick and courteous.
Best Omelets on the Planet… and great Onion Rings. Jim and Shin run a wonderful small-town caf with tasty food, great service, and a unique atmosphere. This is the place where the locals eat, and I think that’s the best endorsement. The omelet selection is superb and the best I’ve ever eaten. The onion rings are the best around. If you’re in the Tulsa metro, make this your place to eat in downtown Jenks!
Hit or miss menu iutems. Have been going to Jenks Restaurant for 25 years. Through trial and error, have found my favorites-green chille burger, blueberry pancakes and steak and onions with brown gravy. service has always been quick and friendly. Don’t eat the chicken fried steak- more coating than steak, grey pounded flavorless mystery meat, all smothered with white cream gravy that tasted like thickened milk without any seasoning. Don’t get the hot turkey sandwich-a slice of wonder bread, sliced turkey cold cut meat, all covered with tasteless thickened white milk gravy. both the steak and turkey sandwich were inedible. We do tolerate all of the clocks going off. Husband gets grilled fish and says it is okay. this is convenient quick sustenance food at reasonable prices. Breakfast fare is better than dinner fare. Do not eat the picante sauce or at least ask for it on the side. Tastes likes thickened stewed tomatoes with no taste of salsa or picante at all.
Very Good. It’s our Saturday morning mainstay. Consistently good with a very friendly staff. Prices are very low, we average $9 a person with drinks.
Been going there several years but it was too much trouble for the owner/cook to cook me fresh bacon instead of the day old rock hard crap they usually serve so they’ve seen the last of me and my ten dollar tips today
Home Cooking. We have eaten there once a week for a year. Everything we have had isexcellent. Had no problem with the food or service. Virgina was good she is gone. But. Tasha,Pam and Cody rock.
Hometown Charm. My mother came to visit…she is from a large family in Arkansas. The day she was headed home we stopped off at the Jenks Restaurant because I knew she would like the hometown feel. She loved loved loved her breakfast, the service, and the chiming clocks. We played a game of cards while waiting for our food, she said the place made her feel like she was back home in Arkansas when she was a child. The waitress had a friendly down-home smile.
