This place might not be for everyone but we absolutely love it. The food is amazing and the owner takes pride in his food. He doesn’t wine and dine you. He tells you the straight forward how to eat his food and if you follow it…you won’t be disappointed. Best flautas I’ve EVER had. We don’t live in Jenks but go there JUST to eat here. Amazing.
Please hire someone to wait tables who enjoys it and is happy. I called the other day to ask if they had fried ice cream – i had been there a few times before – once with me and my son and it was fine -second time brought a few people and they were not impressed, mainly with the waiter’s lack of attention even though we were the only ones in there i think. the guy who waits and i think the son of the owners, said huh? what is that?? i said you know fried ice cream. he said ohhhh, this is authentic, that is tex-mex. i felt like saying ohhh, you are rude, not friendly. all of these bad reviews and still no change? i’m so confused as to why not hire a friendly waiter and make more money with customers actually coming in and feeling happy about their experience.
Terribad!. Very similar experience to most of the negative comments here. Walked in, place was completely empty. The gentleman who seated us was also the owner. He was very rude and arrogant. He was more interested in watching the soap opera from the hanging television facing the kitchen than he was getting our drinks to our table. The food tasted terrible, to me it seemed like something that was like bad microwave food, at best. I don’t know how this business continues to stay afloat. Jenks would be better off by booting this place off of Main Street.
Where to begin. The guacamole was overpowered by the taste of sour cream. Had to add salt and some salsa to improve the taste. Portions are small, and of average taste. The tea is not fresh. No lime for my Corona. (Said warlords interfere with getting limes across the border!) (???) Was ok because the cooler is set at 33. The Corona was cool – not cold. Don’t bother stopping. 2 adults and 2 children $40.92
Don’t ask for queso on your food. You will get the third degree, how they are a Mexican restaurant, and they only serve Mexican food and not tex-mex, and they wouldn’t add queso to their food as it’s not Mexican! Said that adding queso covers up the food. very rude about this also!
Discrimination!!! This pla…. Discrimination!!! This place discriminates against Children and handicapped people!! My Mom and I tried to eat here during the Herb festival in Jenks. We had my 11 month old daughter in a stroller with us. We were refused service because we had a child in a stroller! I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was a rude server on a power trip but I called to speak with the owner and was shocked to find the rude server to be the OWNER!!! This place is not handicapped assessable either! I’m not sure how they have stayed open this long under the laws of the health department?!?! The owner was totally rude and told me I could have gone to put my stroller in the car…keep in mind the roads were blocked off and NO ONE was eating in there! After reading how they have treated others with children I know why! Do not eat here!!!
Total bull. Walked in with 3 adults, 1 teen and 2 babies. No one was there eating and we where told that parties of 5 or more have to call ahead 1day to be served. We where turned away. How would they handle multiple parties of 2. This is the most reduce louse thing I’ve ever heard.
