Not impressed. I don’t understand the hype with this place. Absolutely no atmosphere. Food wasn’t bad but not quite mediocre. I wouldn’t go back. It was kind of like cafeteria food.
Retired Soldier Living in Lawton. Hamburger best in city, probably in top 10 in the state of OK. Burgess Grill used to cut and French fry fresh potatoes. They have changed to krinkel cut frozen fries which are really lousy!!!!. Waitresses are slow to clean tables. If you go in at noon, you’ll find numerous empty tables but all are still dirty-you will have to wait for a table to be cleaned. Plate lunches are also good and prices are great!!
Premier Burgers!. I have a standing monthly appointment with a good friend of mine, since 2006. We both order the same meal and alternate paying for it. Tanya, an immensely friendly waitress, has our order turned-in before our bum’s hit the chairs or booth. The Hodge Podge burger is a juicy, 1/2 pound burger topped with multiple cheeses, guacamole, sauted onions and mushrooms; delicious decadence, and the pies are made fresh, daily! Mama Burgess is a kind and generous person, living the American Dream. It’s a pleasure dining here.
BEST BURGER IN TOWN. Lived in Lawton for years now. Hands down the best burger can be found at Burgess. Pick any burger, they’re all amazing. Only downside, cash only. Love this place.
CASH ONLY!. Just be aware this place only takes cash. I found out the hard way. There is one little sign smaller than a license plate that says cash only and is halfway covered up by the store hours sign in the bottom of the window. Besides that the burgers are great.
I am in LOVE with this place!! Delicious food and awesome service!! Please stay open longer throughout the day!! My favorite meal is the chicken strips!
Great food, I had the patty melt with a slice of pecan pie. Price was also great
