This place is hit or miss… mostly a hit, sometimes a miss. If you’re at the hibachi tables then you’ll certainly come away satisfied with the food and the service. I’ve also gone for lunch at the regular tables and the food was amazing and had great service. However, if you’re sitting at the bar or one of the tables on the weekend, you’re likely to be ignored for an annoying amount of time and the last time I went it seemed as if they didn’t dare waste time preparing my food well, or giving me a good cut of steak. My shrimp was undercooked and my steakSeemed as if it had been frozen then thawed twice over before cooked.

Rating Way Too Low!. I usually swear by the percentage rating on the Spoon, but this one is wayyy wrong. Came in on a Thursday around 7:30 pm, was greeted promptly, seated at the sushi bar, and taken care of. Everything was prompt, courteous staff, and the sushi is very good! Can’t speak for the hibachi, but this is a great sushi joint for southwest Oklahoma!
Wonderful first experience. This was my family’s first trip to Kimono. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best hibachi grill in the Lawton area. The staff was friendly and the sushi chef brought out a few samples for our family even though we were not seated at the sushi bar. We will certainly be going back.
Wow was this place terrible!! This was my worst restaurant experience EVER!!! First of all, their sushi sucked, terrible!! I sat at the bar and it took probably at least 10 minutes to even have my order taken (no exaggeration). I let it slip cus I kept myself busy on my phone. I should have left then. Instead I ordered and then waited another 20 minutes for my 2 sushi rolls. I ate them (they were the worst sushi I have ever had and I have eaten sushi all over the world) and sat there waiting for my check. The server never so much as checked on me or ever came back after I ordered. Someone else brought the food. I wanted a side of sauce but had to choke their sushi down without it. Finally after I had been done for 15 minutes I went to the front and asked the hostess if she could get my check. Then I waited another almost 10 minutes to finally pay. The hostess said she couldn’t print my check so she had to find my server. The server seem inept about it too. I was finally able to pay and left. I will NEVER return again. I spent 10 years of my life as a server and can be very forgiving. This is the first time I have ever not tipped at a restaurant and I have gotten terrible service before. This tops them all. If you want good sushi, go to Samurai!! Their food and service is excellent there!! This place will be out of business soon!
