The cake is terrible, dry and lacking flavor which is unfortunate because the frosting was pretty good. Someone needs to find a new cake recipe. I have to agree with other reviewers that the cupcakes are over priced for the size.
The cakes we got were great. We had the shop make a cake and cupcakes for my Mom’s 90th birthday party in October 2013. We thought they were delicious, to die for. The cake and the cupcakes were moist and the icing delicious. We had a vanilla cake and carrot cake and red velvet for the cupcakes The cake was beautiful too. They make unbelievably real looking flowers out of fondant. We had a pink rose on our Mom’s cake that was beautiful. Yes, they’re a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and I didn’t think it was out of line.
How does this place stay open? Cupcakes are way overpriced, dry, just not really very good. Walmart or SAMs do a better job. If you really have to have something special drive up to GiGis in Norman. But don’t ware any time or effort to come to this place. The only thing like it in Lawton?? Please….I’m so over that kind of mind set. What a load of crap.
Purchased a lemon aid raspberry cupcake which was super good, very good flavors and not overwhelmingly sweet could have eaten at least three because of that. Also had the cookies and cream very well made with a cool little cookie at the bottom of the cupcake both choices were great, I would recommend these flavors. But a little put off by the smell, did not smell good at all when u walk in a sweet shop it should smell of cake, need to put a scentcy up in there! I purchased back a couple months ago have not returned due to my dieting but if they can keep up with the flavor they showed when I purchased then I will def return.
Cute little shop. Not the best cupcakes but it’s the only one of its kind in Lawton so it will do when you want special cupcakes:)
Dry, Overpriced cupcakes. I was so excited when I saw this place open in Lawton. I really wanted to see it succeed. I’ve visited three times. The first two times I visited with family and we each bought a single cupcake and ate it there. The selection was not great, but the cupcakes were good, but small. Recently I went back and bought a number of cupcakes to take home. They were terribly dry, almost stale. A terrible disappointment given it was $20 for a half dozen. I won’t be back. Sadly, the cupcakes at walmart are better or I can create better at home.
Birthday cake. I took photos of specialty cakes in and they promised the moon. I paid high dollar for an amazcake fondant cake for my sons first birthday. I was so disappointed with it’s appearance when I picked it but not near as disappointed as when I tasted it. The cake was dry and tasteless. I hate to give bad reviews but walmarts cakes are far better
