Went around 1130 and it was a quiet-ish lunch hour but while we were leaving at 1245 it really picked up so I’d try getting there before noon for lunch. The food is decent. I’ve had many of their dishes and they’re all pretty good. Nothing to write home about but still good. The shrimp scampi could use some more flavor and the garlic mussels appetizer is way over sauced. They brought my kid cheese pizza instead of pepperoni the and I had to remind the waiter about the appetizer which arrived after the entrees. The manager and waiter were really apologetic and gave us both the appetizer and pizza for free so I can’t complain about that either. All-in-all it was a good experience and I’d go back.
Went here for dinner ’cause we wanted to try something advertised on TV. Yes we had read the reviews and have been here with friends off and on over the years – with highly mixed results. We went anyway. We had the Five Cheese Ziti and the Marsala Stuffed Chicken. Both were quite good, for Olive Garden, although the Marsala Stuffed Chicken might have been just a bit less bland. The soups and salad were decent as usual.Except for the Olive Garden promo dishes, either of the Italian places, Bella Roma and Luigi’s, have better classic Italian cuisine and better price points as well. Olive Garden has the upper hand on soup varieties and their endless salad. Many of the reviews of this Olive Garden have touched on lack of cleanliness and lack of service. We found the cleanliness acceptable this trip – although we have been in when it was certainly lacking (going with a large group kind of makes it difficult to just turn around and leave). Our server was Steven. He was exceptional. He took the time to explain the promo items, informed us of what was unavailable up front as he gave us the menus, helped us tailor our orders by suggesting and explaining some inobvious substitutions, and was quite attentive making sure we were still happy and that our beverages stayed topped off. Quite a change from some of our experiences here. If the rest of the staff can live up to his example it would be a big plus for this place.
Horrible! Only reason we ate there was because we had a gift card. Food was TERRIBLE! Husband had the tour of Italy. A McDonald’s chicken is bigger than the chicken on the chicken parmigiana! It was still partially frozen at that. I should have stopped eating there when they’d ran out of red sauces. SERIOUSLY, FOLKS!
