Finally someplace that has great food, is a bit quirky, and extremely friendly. These guys have been here for a year … they are set back a bit in the complex so they are easy to overlook unless you are looking for them. They do Indianish foods. By this I mean they are experts in the cuisines of India and are fluent in something like 11 regional variations. However, they don’t really do traditional Indian all that much. They have a base menu and then have other items that change on a daily basis thus you never quite know what new and interesting things will be awaiting your visit. Apparently, if you do Facebook, they try to share their menu offerings daily. The day I went in they had 5 curries (one was Okra Curry), Samosas, Naan, and such. They try to take each new customer for a tour of their offerings which is rather unique in this business. Of note is the male’s previous history as they bake their own bread – he managed a Subway for 9 years so he’s got bread down really well. Looks like the same proofing/baking system and the same toasting oven. From the bread I got he really knows how to make it work.Earlier I said that they kind of do Indian. By this I mean playfully. For instance, they take the freshly baked white bread and add their Chicken Tikka salad to make a wonderfully flavored Indian take on the old Chicken salad sandwich. Likewise they do a Sloppy Joe which involves their 9 veggie Curry. They also do tacos which involve a wonderful piece of fresh Naan stuffed with veggies, or chicken, or a fish filet, or shrimp. Now that is an Indian Taco as opposed to the Native American Tacos (of the same spelling – grin). You can of course get any of their curries over rice in the traditional fashion but what would be the fun in that? BTW: their curries are really good and you can select more than one to create your own unique combination if you desire.Once a week they have a 14 year old come in and provide free chess instruction. He has been invited on the US Chess team and is an Oklahoma state champion. I told you this isn’t your run of the mill Indian place.I like the big buffets with the usual assortment of traditional Indian favorites too but when you want something unique give this place a try.
Super friendly owners who make GREAT Indian curries. There are vegan and meat options! They also are happy to let you sample anything before buying.
Very friendly owners, samples for everything, and delicious food. Wasn’t a fan of Indian food until I visited the Fusion Kitchen, and I would recommend it to anyone in the area!
Amazing Indian restaurant like no other. The first time you go the owner will give you a taste of everything. They change curries everyday, so there is s curry for all different tastes. The chicken tikka sandwich is amazing, they also bake their own bread. They make their own ghost chili sauce that gives any sandwich a great little kick. There is no way after trying the mango lassi that you won’t get one. This is a hidden gem for the OKC metro. The owners are the nicest people and they are there to make you happy.
Amazing family owned restaurant. They have a small, hot Indian buffer and a sandwich bar. She makes different curries everyday. They also give you samples of all the curries that day (usually 3). The curried chicken salad sample was great and every time I go in I intend to have one, but then I get a taste of the curries that day. I’m addicted to the samosas. The owners are the nicest people, everything is made there and they remember their customers.
A new hidden gem in Midwest City. Most of my experience with Indian food comes from the great buffets in the area. I’ve had great experiences in the past, but this is a great change of pace. The menu is a mix of Indian cuisine, and other choices with Indian influences. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, mango lassi, cookies, and curry as a side dish. All of the food was great, and the prices are quite fair. The owners take their food seriously, and allows customers to try nearly the entire menu before buying! I was also given a free Chai tea! Great choices, ingredients, phenomenal customer service, and a changing menu. If you like Indian food, and enjoy a mom-and-pop style restaurant: Try it out!
New and local. Really nice owners. They will let you try anything before you buy. Good prices. Menu changes daily. A must try for Indian food lovers.
