Had a late lunch here. The place was practically empty – and it took an inordinate period of time for the folks to notice they had a customer.Anyway decided to try the food.Ordered the Ginger Beef with Fried Rice and the Hot & Sour soup.The Hot & Sour soup was good. Not too spicy and a bit more vinegar than most.The Ginger Beef probably is not really what most folks think of as Ginger Beef. It is crispy deep fried and covered on a really good sweetish sauce devoid of any hint of ginger (ground, liquid, minced, sliced, julienned or whatever). Still it was excellent if not what I was expecting. I likely will order it again.The fried rice wasn’t bad but was likely pre-made quite a while ago.
I had purchased a Groupon online and decided to go last Friday night. This place is very clean with attentive staff. Started off with an appetizer which were spring rolls then I had the squid with lemongrass for dinner which was very hot as posted but it was amazingly good. This place is kind of hard to find not on a main street but tucked away in a shopping center. I would definitely go back
Everything Ive gotten is always good. I usually get the pho. Mariah is great whenever we go for lunch, she’s awesome! BAM! Definitely a good place to eat in the MWC/Tinker area!
I guess I should have read the reviews on this place before I actually ate here. Do NOT go to Golden Phoenix Bistro unless you want HORRIBLE service. I ordered a boaboa smoothie and my boyfriend and I ordered an appetizer and we both got an entree because we had a Groupon. First they brought out my boyfriend’s entree, then five minutes later they brought out mine and I asked her where my drink was and she said it’s coming. My boyfriend completely finished his meal before our appetizer even gets to us and then it was another 10 minutes before I got my drink. I’ve worked food service so I know how stressful it can be, I’m usually very understanding, but it wasn’t even busy. The waitress was too worried about her friends that were sitting in the corner. It’s safe to say we are NEVER going back.
Golden pheonix bistro. Golden Phoenix Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants. It has been a staples for my family since it opened its doors. The food is always great but the server Mariah makes the GPB experience outstanding.

No one eats there?. I have to go there sometimes and it’s always empty. I do not like empty places, it concerns me, that food may not be fresh there. Taste of food is OK, just like at the other Asian places. Occasionally they are out of something, when you order.
