The service is fairly fast but the food is mediocre at best. The best thing I have had here (and I have been several times, not by my choice) is the hamburger. There is way better Mexican food out there. I would give them a 1.5 or 2 at best
Los Vaqueros does simple Mexican food – very well. It is simply what you order on a plate or three. The food is prepared well and presented in an attractive but not overly showy way.They have a good cheese sauce and a pretty good salsa – especially if you like garlic.The tacos, enchiladas, flautas, guacamole, and the like are very good. They also have some non-traditional items including fried catfish (Whale on a Plate) and Mexican ribs.
Very fast service, very attentive (but not overbearing) wait staff, generous portions of real Mexican food prepared by people whose first language is Espanol. It’s not a high-class establishment, it’s a family place where you can go in your jeans & t-shirt and get full of great tasting food. I’ve only been once, but it’s definitely my new favorite place to go. I can’t wait to go back.
We gave this place a try and love it! Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food and service were outstanding! We will be going back to try some of the other dishes. If you’re in the Midwest City area, you got to try this place!
I have been visiting Los Vaqueros in Midwest City for years now. In my experience, they have been extremely consistent. Great Tex-Mex food, great staff who are always friendly, and extremely quick even when busy (which is almost all the time). This restaurant is probably my favorite in the Midwest City area and my go to restaurant for many family outings.
Great food!. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. The food is good, the service is great, and the beer is really cold! Our favorite!
Try the Chili Rellenos. Their beef Chili Relleno’s are the best I’ve ever had anywhere! They use steak versus the ground beef you usually find. They also fry it crispy and smother it in cheese. Their special atomic salsa is also pretty fantastic. Great place for a quick lunch when craving Mexican food.
