This used to be a great restaurant! The food was rather good, and then the owner retired. Maybe she kept her recipes a secret, but its like those who work there no longer care about keeping the tradition alive.
Weve been eating at Lupes for many many years. And even though it changed ownership a few years ago, we still love it. The food is always fresh and delicious. Servings are generous. And the staff, mostly family members, are very friendly and attentive. I dont understand why some people dont get it that Lupes is a family owned place – if you want Teds then go to Teds but dont criticize Lupes.

Got tamales to take home for later, they have them available in frozen or hot, I got frozen. My meal was super. I will make a trip across town again in the near future to get this good food again.
