I am a regular here. They have numerous entree and fry options for $3.99. That is cheaper than anywhere else I know of and the quality is much better than McDonald’s or Jack in the Box.
we went to steak & shake after a huge conference in OKC. we went around 1am & they were jam packed in the lobby & the drive up. we ordered & were served super quickly & our order was correct! the employee who took our order was extra friendly. great burger & the shake was good too. the fries with cajun seasoning are DELICIOUS. seriously, I could have eaten double what came with my order, they are the best.
Ordered Jamaican Jerk Steakburger, Cajun Seasoned Fries, and a Vanilla Shake.The shake was good and thick. Needed the spoon to eat it.The burger was good. The Jerk sauce was not overpowering and just added an interesting variation to an otherwise non-remarkable burger.The Cajun Fries are their regular very thin fries with a sprinkle of cajun seasoning on top. Mine were fairly cold. I suspect they hadn’t had an order for a while so mine were not even close to just out of the fryer. Since they had cooled, they were kind of solid. Had they been hot they would have still been a bit flacid from the heat.They are open pretty late.Spent quite some time standing at the front of the store while three folks were doing something towards the back of the store. Eventually someone got around to greeting and seating me. After that my server, Autum, came by and got my order. She had her act together and pretty much salvaged the experience with her excellent service.
It is good food but the problem is you never know what you are going to pay. I have gone 3 times and paid 3 different prices for the same exact thing. They need to get it together
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. It’s a hamburger and shake place, and it’s pretty good. Don’t go there if you are a health nut. i get bacon cheese fries and whatever burger looks good. There is always a decent specialty burger selection. Never had bad service.
Food to service to hate. Went twice to midwest city location, took every bit of 10 min to be greeted, took forever just to get drinks, waiter asked the same question numerous of time to place three orders, took 20 mins to get food to find out it was placed wrong, this is on the second visit, first visit wasn’t as bad but not good. But like everything else demand out way service so they think.
This was the single worst dining experience EVER! It took 12 minutes for us to be acknowledged and then 2 more minutes to seat us. After being seated it took a server 18 minutes to acknowledge us and come take our drink order. It then took another 21 minutes for the food to come out and not once during our time here did anyone ever ask us is everything okay or how is everything. When the food did finally arrive it was the incorrect order and it was very cold. We were not given eating utensils until I walked up to the MANAGER and asked for some and advised her our food was incorrect and cold. The manager then said she would replace our food and brought it back about 15 minutes later with salt and vinegar seasoning DUMPED heavily all over the fries that it made them inedible. When I called over the manager to advise that this was the worst dining experience EVER she made excuses and never once said I’m sorry. She ended up taking one of the meals off our ticket and we will NEVER return to this Steak and shake location again!!
