Taco Bell is better tasting!. Ate dinner on 28 March 2015…Enchilada Dinner & Mexican Dinner…..and the best that I can say is that my salad was OK. The enchiladas were greasy and the topping on ours was actual hamburger like chili, not chili con queso as we expected and it was terrible. I asked for a chicken taco and asked if it was white meat chicken and was told it was mixed but that I could order fajita chicken and it would be all white. What I could see, was but it was chopped up so fine it wasn’t even distinguishable as chicken and it was so dry it would choke a horse! The queso was tasteless as it was so bland and to echo another person’s comments, it was way overpriced for the taste and quality. For the same amount of money, we could have eaten at Ted’s, probably the most famous and best tasting Mexican food in the area. I think it would be hard to mess up refried beans but these tasted as though they had been cooked with smoked ham-hocks and although not really terrible, definitely not Mexican or Tex-Mex. I will not go again.
AMAZING STAFF!. My office orders lunch here regularly. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and hot, even by the time it arrives back at the office. The staff makes this place our favorite! They are so accommodating, and ALWAYS insist on helping to bring the large order out to our cars. They are delightful and very accurate, even when taking a large split order. The complimentary chips, salsa, and queso are the icing on the cake! Wholly Guacamole Kitchen is an absolute must for Peruvian/Tex Mex in the Midwest City area!
Okcsooner. We went here on our way to a play off game at Carl Albert High School. We live on the other side of the city but will definately be making a trip to go back. The service was friendly and helpful (seemed family oriented) and our food was hot and delicious. I believe the tamales were the best I’ve ever had. Nice, nice people.
Very Satisfied!. This place isn’t really Mexican, it’s a Peruvian restaurant with an adapted Tex-Mex menu. It LOOKS Mexican, but it’s got some advantages… the beans aren’t dry, they’re runny and yummy. The rice isn’t dry, it has moisture and flavor. I had an enchilada and was DELIGHTED with the sour cream sauce. Service was very good and cheerful, food was reasonably priced, hot and appeared quickly. The complimentary chips come with salsa and queso, both of which are very tasty. We’ll be back, we were very pleased. Next time will try one of the Peruvian dishes, like the Ceviche. Also, the guacamole was really good and very fresh.
The place is overpriced for the food quality. The queso was bland. The tortillas are not homemade. It should definitely be at least $2 per plate cheaper. I won’t go back.31 Jan, 2015It wasn’t that great. The other reviews make it out to be incredible, but it’s mediocre. The tortillas aren’t homemade. The cheese dip was bland. I wouldn’t go back.
Great service and food. Small place, big on service and taste. Owner very friendly concerned about our satisfaction with food and wait staff. Both are outstanding. We will be back with friends to share this dinning find. Thanks you to staff and owner for the service and fine food!
Opened when closed. Two weeks ago Sunday, I was really wanting some Mexican food, so on my home I stopped but the owner said, we’re closed, he started to tell me some different places around MWC area, and I really didn’t want like nor wanted to go to the other places, so the manager/owner said ok come in and he got everything out of the frig, mind you that the place had been closed already for over 1 1/2, he and I talked about the El Chico’s and other places that have come and gone. I thanked him and said you are the reason why people come here and eat.
