We decided to check out the new wood fired grill items since we haven’t been to this location in 7 months. The honey apple chutney maple butter bone-in pork chop (a mouthful of words as big as the pork chop) was tasteeeeee accompanied with the two new sides of pureed sweet potato and whole grains. The wife’s maple mustard cedar salmon (Applebee’s likes long menu item names) was declared good but a little on the dry side. Her salmon was enhanced by sopping a bite in my honey apple chutney maple butter sauce. The steamed slightly garlicky green beans had too much garlic with many mushy beans. Thumbs down. Beer drinkers : the beer is a little pricey. A large Miller Lite is $4.49. A pint of Sam Adams Octoberfest is $5.29. Applebee’s still provides a pleasant dining experience with frequent new menu items.

Sometimes the music is too loud for my taste, but it is a bar setting, after all. My steak is always perfectly cooked and served up on a sizzling platter.26 May, 2015Steak and Shrimp.
