Been there many times! The management are very superior people! The wait staff & hosts are fantastic! The cooks are awesome cooks!!! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good food,drinks& friends!!! They really care!!!! I try to make it a few times a week!
I thought the overall experience was slightly disappointing. While the service was excellent, the same cannot be said about the food. I got the filet, which ended up being overly seasoned and overcooked as well.
We’ve never had anything but great food and great service at Hollie’s. Went this evening for something simple..prime rib & steak fries. Both were perfectly cooked. Definitely would recommend.
Went here for dinner. We had the Queso and Salsa appetizer, Prime Rib and Roasted Chicken combo with Green Chili Mac & Cheese, and the Chicken Fried Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. All were excellent. Particularly liked the au ju for the Prime Rib. The queso was also really good. The Yard Bird Roasted Chicken was hands down the best dish.The high point of our evening was our server Kayla. Although this was but her second shift as a server here, she was a delight to talk with and expert on the menu and her duties, taking great care of us.
I really, really wanted to love this place. My family’s visit started out so well! The queso is so wonderful, and I loved my dinner salad with bleu cheese dressing. The service was prompt and friendly. Everything was great until our actual meals arrived. My catfish had a nice breading that I liked, but it was undercooked. I didn’t enjoy the dry, fried cornbread stuff they served with all of the meals. I admit that the rest of the family did, though. I just couldn’t deal with the texture. The steaks were dry and tough for medium well. We were all disappointed we spent as much as we did for such underwhelming steaks. If we could have taken it back and spent that money elsewhere (perhaps Saltgrass where we could have ordered bigger, better steaks for a little less), we would have. There is just no way for us to justify the cost for the low quality of the meal, so I doubt we’ll make a return visit.
Very surprised by this place!! I had heard that the food was awesome but until i went there i didnt really believe it!! First, the Green Chili Mac and Cheese is incredible!! I also had the Meatloaf with Red Chili Sauce which was very tasty!! I would go again for sure!!
Steaks have went downhill!. We frequent Hollies quite often and have always loved their steaks but the last couple times the steak has been extremely bland and just plain ol not very good! We’re hoping they just got a bad batch from their supplier.We will give them another chance or two because the service is excellent and they have COLD beer but we’re getting close to giving up on them!
