EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Went there for dinner tonight. Usually a place I love to go, but not again. Sad because I love the food here. Was told to sit wherever, only one out of 5 places to sit was semi clean. Was given menus. No drink order taken. No one came to take a food order. No acknowledgement after menus (which were tattered, torn, and dirty). After 20 minutes of being ignored my husband, daughter, and I left. As we left one girl muttered sorry under her breath. I could see them as I am getting in the car and there are 4 or 5 people at our empty table. Sad that we had to leave to get noticed. Sadly, I can say with certainty that I will not be back after tonight.
Great little place good food good price friendly service. I’ve had lunch and dinner there always impressed. Good job guysWe needed a good Mediterranean restaurant
Every time I am in Moore to spend time with family, my daughter and I have at least one lunch at Hummus. We both order the Gyro sandwich. The flavors of our food remind me of the authentic Greek restaurants in Kalamazoo Michigan that I love. We ate lunch each visit for under $20 allowing money for a well earned tip. We love the simplicity of the decor, the peacefulness of the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone representing Hummus. I plan on visiting again very soon.
I’m impressed. First time to visit and the wait staff was friendly and prompt. I explained the hummus would be too much for one person, and I was offered a 1/2 order ($2.50). I received my hummus, and minutes later received the gyro sandwich I ordered. The fries were piping hot, and the sandwich was delicious. Oh and the baklava….mmm buttery deliciousness!!!! So amazing it’s the best I’ve had at any Greek restaurant!!!
Food is always good, but the servers are right out of high school and are not the best. And I never see the same servers. But it’s still the best hummus around!
I’ve eaten here a few times now and I have yet to find anything that really stands out as a great dish. Most of the food is very generic, bland, run-of-the-mill Mediterranean/Greek food. The hummus is just okay (which I find funny considering the name of the restaurant) and the pita bread is always hard. The service has always been lackluster and inattentive. It’s hard to tip the base amount when you can’t even get base service. There are much better places here in town, down in Norman and up in OKC that I’ll happily drive to, even though Hummus is closer. I want this place to be good, but it’s just not. 🙁
Started off with the Mahumara. It was delicious, but they were very stingy with the pita, which was way too floury to begin with. Then they wanted a dollar up charge to get some more pita, so we just ended up taking the leftover dip home.We all ordered the Gyro plate, and I had the large Greek salad. The Greek salad was fantastic, but with a little too much dressing, but that was OK because I ended up using it to pour on top of my Gyro meat. The meat was tender, mildly flavored, with a very generous helping of it. It came with a pathetic amount of tomatoes, and three or four tiny pita triangles. This pita tasted different from the one that was served with the appetizer, slightly better. There were plenty of french fries, which were really good. The yogurt sauce was bland to me, but my husband liked it.One Gyro plate was $10, and in hindsight, it was plenty for two adults to share, except for the small amounts of tomatoes and pita. The service was excellent, very fast. Price was way too high, if you ask me. Five dollar appetizer, 3 Gyro plates plus a salad came to like $45.
