  Went here for dinner. Did Hibachi and a Chicken and Veggie Tempura appetizer.The appetizer was mixed. The veggie portion was excellent in both flavor and texture. The chicken was done differently – in sort of panko style. The flavor was lacking and the texture could have been better. In addition a portion of the chicken coating was way under done which was offputting. It appeared that one side of a piece just didn’t get cooked.On the other hand, the hibachi meals were excellent. We had the chicken and the steak & chicken meals. Both came with Clear Soup, Japanese style salad, and Fried Rice. All those items were excellent. The fried rice was hot and well seasoned. The texture was excellent.The hibachi entres were good as well. The chicken was cooked properly as was the steak. They were also seasoned particularly well.Our chef put in a good performance. While we have seen better performances in our literally hundreds and hundreds of meals over the years and all across the country, this guy was probably in the top 90 percent. Didn’t expect that in Muskogee.BTW this is part of a chain with stores in Shawnee, Altus, Chickasha, OKC, and Muskogee.

  Ok so I have been going here since they opened and have had only a few issues the staff and the language barrier, how rude they are when taking orders or dealing with an upset customer when they were in the wrong. I and my co worker only have a limited lunch time to eat. I am 8 months pregnant and had a craving for sushi. I have never complained about the rising prices or the smaller portions, or how rude they can be in general because they are the only sushi place close to me. But enough is enough, my co worker called in the complaint to the restaurant and the man she spoke with was rude, condescending and kept interrupting her. He demanded that we bring him the trash bag that we threw the bad food away in so that he could see it. So I gathered the food into a single bag and brought it up to the restaurant where the waiter refused to acknowledge me and when I set the dirty bag on the counter he finally decided I was worth paying attention to. Then instead of speaking to me he calls one of the sushi chefs form behind the bar in their native tongue to root through the trash. When he could not see the hair in the trash he went back to the sushi bar and went back to work with out washing his hands. Then proceeded to tell me that since I did not take a picture of the hair in the soup or sushi that he was not going to refund me even though he had the soup and other sushi that he made incorrectly. So if you want things done right the first time and polite service don’t eat sushi in Muskogee. You are better off spending money elsewhere.

  The service overall was lacking, including the wrong entrees brought out, the salad and soup brought out after the entree, the waters were never refiled, and being charged for the wrong entrees on the bill and having to straiten it out. On the subject of food, my fiance and I had the sushi, which was not the best nor the worst. The fish was very fresh, though some had good flavor while some had none at all. Also, the rice was all wrong, it was warm which did not meld well with the fish. Overall this place has potential but needs some improvement.

  Great food and friendly service. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is great. I dislike cream cheese in my sushi and right away my server offered some great selections. Got the crazy roll and while a touch pricey, it was, hands down, the best sushi I’ve had in Oklahoma. I’ll definitely be coming back here again!
