It wasnt horrible. It was unremarkable. I was served a basket of broken chip pieces. Im curious if they were collected, and served again? No chips for me!I ordered Lamb Barbacoa tacos. The lamb was wrapped in a lifeless soft tortilla, with a barbecue sauce easily overpowered by the lifeless tortilla. The crispy onion garnish was a nice touch. I had to ask for a napkin, and tableware. The waiter seemed distracted, possibly overwhelmed, but pleasant. I can find bomb tacos on SW29, served with whole chips and great salsa, that blow this away. It wasnt horrible.

We were greeted cordially and seated immediately. Our waiter was attentive when we first arrived. The patio was well appointed, and though it was 98 degrees, the industrial fans made it pleasant enough to enjoy. Our appetizers of guacamole and queso arrived and were delicious. The chips were AWESOME!Once our entree order was taken, we didn’t see our waiter for a very long time. Our food took close to an hour to arrive. We had to flag down other wait staff to help us with a high chair. The fajitas and sides were ok. Definitely not the high-end quality we expected. Our girls ordered chicken strips that had been grossly overcooked. To their credit, they did not complain and we thought they had just filled up on chips. I finally noticed the problem. Our family table was apparently in competition with a table of three beautiful ladies with whom our waiter was quite enthralled. Food was subpar for the price. With the exception of our specific waiter, wait staff was very attentive.

First visit and parking was a bear! Had to park one block west, and it’s a long block too! There are so many tiny restaurants in the area and the parking lots are equally tiny! The chips were pretty good, but neither salsa was appealing to me. There was no heat at all in the red salsa and the salsa verde was the sweet kind. Ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were really good, especially when I added jalapeos! The service was excruciatingly slow! The prices were reasonable for the area. All in all it was just OK. Doubt I’ll be back. The parking situation is just not worth the trouble of mediocre food.

Drink service was incredibly slow the night we went. They initially brought us the wrong appetizer, but corrected and comp’d it. The entre lacked flavor. I was hoping for more from the braised short rib, but it got lost in the tostada with all of the garnish. I’d recommend this place for drinks, but nothing more.

Rough start, fine finish. We started at the bar, while waiting for a table. The bar staff was 50/50. The knowledge was there but one half of the duo was ready to go home. My dining partner tried the Grapefruit Margarita and I obstained to wait for the table. When we moved the bar staff pulled a d**k move, that I won’t address here because I commented on it to the house host and management apologized and offered to correct the action shortly after we were seated at our table. I’ll be honest in saying that the management’s response saved the night from going sour. I’m finicky and never afraid to make a point of a mistake. The management’s response was spot on and, though I did not desire to accept the corrective action that was offered, the attention to detail was appreciated. The server at our table setting was spectacular. My partner was knee deep in their Margarita, which was above average, when I ordered a flight of Milagros tequila. The flight came out in ample pours for a tasting. I’d had them all before, downed them swiftly and ordered a surprise. I put in for their habenaro guava margarita which was a very impressive example of modern mixology. The salted seafoam top played beautiful contrast to the earthy guava pulp. My partner joined me in a second round later but first we app’ed with the mango chipotle guac and Tex Mex Queso with chorizo. The guac was a fresh springy change we both enjoyed with subtle sweetness that wasn’t contrived. It was served warm which, if it was not an accident from time under the heatlamp, was actually smart. It softened The flavors. The queso was more Tex and less Mex. It thickened quickly being short of stock in its base but was fine otherwise. We followed with the lamb cheek tacos which desired a little bit of the wonderful tomatillo salsa that was served as an accoutrement; and served drizzled on the taco. It was fantastic. The refried black beans we’re above average requiring no additional seasoning. My partner ordered beef fajitas which came out as an incredible spread. The 6-ounce portion was more than fulfilling and my partner found them to be well above average. We were both impressed with the slaw; which had great crunch/snap. We were both especially impressed with the house flour tortillas which is something I am particularly finicky about; being preferential to corn due to the lack of restaurants that give consideration to a quality flour tortilla. Overall we found the proportions to be fantastic for the price. Aside from our minor service experience at the bar the evening was pretty exceptional and I’m surprised to see that this place has such a low rating. Given that I am such a Critic I decided to start at four stars with plans to revisit; and hopes for a higher rating. I think they can do it. The parking was tight but that’s what you expect in Midtown. We waited about 10 minutes for seating at roughly 8:30 p.m. on a Thursday night which is pretty expectable in Midtown. Our only facility complaint would be that the patio area was closed for the evening. I would recommend this place for anyone seeking a contemporary Latin cuisine in Oklahoma City. For the most part the menu is tapas style and is quite easy to share. The drink menu is incredibly thoughtful. If you’re looking for easy snacks and drinks with a small group or even a partner this place is definitely worth your consideration. I consider this a wonderful addition to the Midtown dining experience in Oklahoma City and I look forward to trying it again.

Pretty close to authentic Mexican food. Their mole sauce is incredible and is as close to real mole as you can get without going to Puebla. Their chips are freshly made and their salsas are excellent. Don’t listen to any of the bad reviews, this place is always packed and you almost absolutely need a reservation on weekends. Their dinner is stratospheres better than their brunch, just like any other restaurant. Skip the brunch, stay for dinner. Prices are very reasonable, it’s just as expensive as any crappy Chili’s or Applebees.

This restaurant is a total let down, from the mediocre food to the terrible staff. About the only good thing it has going for it is the ambiance which is why my group chose to spend our night dinning here. NEVER again! Our group of women was treated like second-hand citizens by the staff. We are all well connected leaders within our community that get together for our annual Christmas party and choose this place out of the long list of options. We were looking for a fun, upbeat atmosphere to enjoy our night of laughs, drinks and good food. What we got was unprofessional service from the wait staff all the way to the management staff, humiliation, and and terrible food. I use the word management loosely since most of the time the manager sat there with a blank stare on her face or a condescending smile when we complained offering no solution to the issue. I own an Oil and Gas company off NW 13th and Harvey and have actually taken a client to lunch here in the past. The service and food was subpar, but figured the restaurant was new and I would give it another go. I would NEVER dream of taking a client into this restaurant again at this point. If I ever treated my clients the way this restaurant treats its guests I would be out of business so fast. Just like I imagine this restaurant will be in a year or so. Your reputation in the food industry is all you have and once you lose that it is downhill. Good luck, cant wait to see what new restaurant goes in the place of this spot once you go under.
