Went today for lunch it was both good and bad, I had the 3 piece Dark for $7.99 but was charged $2.19 for a drink. I had the mac and cheese and corn for my sides, let’s start with the chicken it was moist which was great, it had no seasoning and was bland, the mac and cheese had a good taste but was served Luke warm not hot at all, the corn was a small serving bowl which was not bad. The roll was good but one thing I hate is frozen butter pads, and the ones today were frozen. Service was great everyone was friendly. So today’s visit was both good and bad, if I am in the area I might stop by again, but I won’t go out of my way.

My husband brought home a chicken, rice and green beans when they first opened. We were very pleased and thought the food was great. Went back today with my mom and we werent pleased. She got the enchiladas which looked like they had just been thrown on the plate and had very little filling. I had the three piece dark chicken with 2 sides. The chicken was good but the sides were not. The twice baked potaters looked like a blob that had been ice cream scooped on the plate. They were bland and were not what I had expected nor looked like the photos being advertised. The macaroni and cheese was awful. Again, an ice cream scoop of a blob on the plate and could taste nothing but processed cheese, like the kind you get at a concession stand with a pretzel. To say true least we werent pleased and probably wont return.
I’ve visited this place a few time since it opened in February of 2017. It has great potential to be great, but they still have a long way to go!The service is slow… very slow. The quality of the food is all over the place (particularly when it comes to the chicken) one time was great, the second time was average, and the third time it clearly needed to be cooked longer.The menu is along the lines of what you would have experienced at somewhere like swadleys but based around chicken.Give it a try and see for yourself, it’s most certainly a welcome sight around the quail/memorial area! Hopefully with time it will deliver on its promise
Don’t waste your time. Can’t comment on the food. Ordered one plate to go. After over 20 minutes got a refund and left. I figured I’d have to wait at least another 20 minutes. A lot of unhappy customers standing and sitting because the kitchen can’t get the food out.
I visited Cowboy Chicken for the first time today and was highly impressed. Their chicken is rotisserie style and slow roasted for 2 hours. I will admit the pieces of chicken were smaller than I expected, but the taste totally made up for it. Total with the $5 off was $5.93. Not bad at all really!
Visited this new restaurant. Very cozy with the rotisserie turning. Very impressed with staff; they were very helpful and attentive . We got the original cowboy sandwich and the three piece dark meat. See the posted pics. The food was very good, you could really taste the wood fire. We’ll return for sure. Other purchases by our party was the barbecue sandwich which was good and the chicken salad sandwich which will be my next purchase. Only one negative, the size of chicken portions were a little small; the chicken breast did not cover the bun.
