Been here a number of times so I can attest to them being consistent.It is consistently average BBQ with large portions, a good selection of proteins, and a good selection of sides at a reasonable price. Yes, there are better places but not this close to Tinker (the exception of course is Smokey Ray’s BBQ food trailer which is on Tinker at the BX but only on Thursday and Friday for lunch).As I said, the BBQ is decent but certainly not award winning. On the other hand their cobblers and other deserts are really good. You just might want to skip the entre and do the deserts. Sure beats the chain BBQs!
Possibly the worst BBQ that I’ve ever had. A friend and I dropped by in early May. I ordered the 3Meat Plate and here’s my humble opinion.-The ribs were very bland and rubbery. Does Gary Glenns steam cook these ribs? They need to be smoked ..Rubbery is how I describe these..-The chopped brisket had an almost spoiled taste to it. I was very surprised as it’s hard to ruin brisket. -The ‘smoked sausage’ sure didn’t seem smoked to me. No grill marks at all. It came out of a steam container at the front counter and it was extremely salty. This sausage probably came straight from Walmart and went into the steam container. Probably Eckridge brand.-Mac N Cheese? .. ..no good either.. Very generic. Nothing special at all-Potato Salad? .. ..same quality as the Mac N Cheese. Generic..-I will never eat here again and will be surprised if Gary Glenns sticks around. -PS.. I came to lunch very hungry and really looked forward to my visit..

The ribs suck, It’s like they boiled them. The beans taste like pork n beans right out of the can. This place was a real let down especially since they are right by my house. If your wanting BBQ then stay away from here or try something different other than the ribs and beans.
Very disappointing. The brisket was shedded too finely and was dry. The salad was wilty, and the fries tasted like the grease was old. I love little hole-in-the-wall type restaurants but this is one to which I will not be returning
Pleasantly surprised! Affordable and yummy BBQ! I definitely recommend stopping by for lunch or picking up dinner!
@Gary Glenn’s bbq. Wednesday Is catfish Wednesday, If you are not here @ lunch time then like me your fish may not be cooked fresh. They scraped the bottom of the pan for the last of mac n cheese that was barley warm and scraps. I assume the chesse was all at the top bc I barley tasted cheese. My pinto beans & toast were the only thing that were hot!. The catfish is really good, just wished it was hot, cooked fresh. So as I was eating I watch a new customer come in & was cooked fresh fish. I know next to request fresh hot fish! Only 3 of the 6 fountain soda machine worked. I may be back to actually try the bbq maybe next time!
