We went to Bourbon Street Cafe last night to have a good time and we were sat outside in the closed in patio portion. There was a cat in the restaurant and the waiter’s were feeding it right in front of us. That is very unsanitary and unprofessional. I would not go to eat there unless you like having cat hair in your food.
Nice ambiance on the canal…with great live music… Great service… The problem is that the food was only mediocre – not bad, but not great – for the price. (Quite overpriced for the food quality.) I won’t be returning again, unless only for drinks and/or dessert to enjoy the environment.
Hard to give it a rating. I liked the place but there was a party of 25 and the majority were screaming kids. So if you go do not go when there is little league baseball. Our waitress very friendly and was attentive even with the big party. The toufe great and spicy and the St. Charles had this taste you would want to last.
