We live in the neighborhood and Mighty Dog really is a great deal for the price. Really soft buns and delicious hot dogs. They are also nice enough to put my chili on the side.Normally we just pick up but it is super cozy inside. And a nice local landmark with character! My one and only complaint is that if you order the special and get the potato salad side there isn’t quite enough for 2. But it’s still a decent deal even if you get an extra side!I will be sad when I go back off beef after my pregnancy and have to switch to their chicken option. But I’m sure that will be good too!

Just make your own. This place is horrible! The chili could possibly be horse meat it’s gritty like they sanded it down and they claim that the chili is the same as Coits (what a shame to disgrace such a name) . The cheese is from a bag probably from Walmart. The potatoes salad is from a container from the Walmart deli. The buns are indeed toasted to the consistency of burnt toast. The best part of this place was my bag of Doritos. The lady that runs the front seems a little burnt up and isn’t even allowed to operate the register…. All and all I will stick with Oscar Mayer.
Very good food for a fair price !!!Awesome staff, make you feel at home.A MUST GO if you haven’t been here.
These folk were extremely nice and offer up a very high quality hot dog in a really cool setting. It’s basically a Coit’s clone with a much bigger dog. I had my first Coit’s dogs near the end of their demise and never really thought much of them, but I understand those that crave them. I had hoped Mighty Dog served basic, smaller dogs with steamed buns like those from my childhood, so I’m not looking for a huge dog or a gourmet Mutt dog, just a place to down a few regular dogs in soft buns with some root beer. For the memories.
Dogs. Have eaten there 3 times in 2 weeks. Very good chili dogs. They use Schwab dogs and chili and , of course, Weber’s Root Beer.
