Visited this place over the weekend. Good Cuban and good macaroni salad. As previous reviewer stated, portions should be larger for price point. I liked the bread on the Cuban, my friend had pastrami and said her bread should have been sliced a little less thick due to being too much bread for sandwich. Overall it was good dining experience.
This is a deli thats subscribes to the new trend of retro. An new that harkens back to simpler times.I came on a saturday around 3pm. While it wasnt busy, it wasnt slow either. You order at the counter from the old skool menu and the cashier brings your food out. From the looks of it, they have high quality meats and cheeses and a good selection of local beers. You can order meats and cheese by the pound to take home.Thought it was a bit pricey for what it was. I got the Pig on a Wing and a cup of Chicken and Sausage gumbo. Order came out to about $18.Bread seemed homemade but wasnt anything like Jimmys Egg bread. Sandwich was just basic. Portion size was small for the price. The chicken gumbo soup was really good though. Coulda made this at home for about 1/3 price. I will give props for the very thinly slice tomatoes. I think Ill stick with Someplace Else down the street though.
First time to try. Sandwich, chips, and drink came to $15.21. The food was good, but quite pricey. It bothered me the cooks didnt have hair or beard nets. Little slow getting my order. Unless they lower their prices, I wont be able to eat there often.
I had the pastrami on rye. It was delicious. Very fattening (this isn’t Subway, Jared), but delicious. The meat seamed very good quality and that spicy brown mustard was incredible.
