Nice little corner pub!. This place belies it’s slightly scruffy exterior and location on the edge of industrial jankytown. Inside, it’s spotlessly clean, if a bit dated. The full service bar seats 11 or 12 and there’s table seating for upwards of 40. Kim, the GM is really friendly and out-going. Their menu isn’t going to win any Healthy Choice awards. It’s pretty much to the point. Burgers, a few comfort food standards like Chicken-fried Steak and spaghetti and the sides you’d expect. All I’ve had is a cheeseburger and fries so far, but I can tell you this place is a good bet for lunch or a super casual dinner. My burger was properly cooked, super juicy, well seasoned and a generous portion for $5.10. The fries were tasty and done, but somehow not very crispy. Kim tells me that everything on the menu is super fresh and is house-made. I wonder if they are double frying the fries like they’re supposed. to. Nevertheless, the mushy fries won’t spoil your experience if you choose to walk the tiniest little bit on the wild side and visit this place.
