Good street tacos. I haven’t been to the restaurant but visited the truck on NW 10th (I hope we’re talking about the same establishment!). Tacos were tasty and included half of a roasted jalepeno for some heat if desired (which I did, and liked). I’ve tried about a dozen taco places in the city, and for overall value and tastiness, I would rank this one in the top 3 or 4.
Disgusting. I was delighted to see Machaca con Huervos on the menu, and I ordered it. The dish was absolutely inedible. Machaca is (supposed to be) tender shredded beef cooked with onions, peppers and spices, and eggs, and what I got instead was chopped gristle. This was not only the worst Machaca I’ve ever been served, it was way way way the worst. There was not a single edible bite in the batch. The beans and rice were edible but without flavor. Tables were dirty, decor is shabby… ew.
