Authentic Mexican. The owners are really nice. They are not fluent in english but there’s usually someone there to assist if there’s a problem. I love the shrimp veracruzano. The trio of salsas are noteworthy, especially the habanero salsa. trust me it is hot but well balanced with beautiful fruity undertones. Have tried the tacos[the shrimp ones are great] chile rellenoes and fish tacos. All are good! Look forward to going to OKC from Tulsa anytime we have an excuse to eat there. Have never attended the buffet, but will try. As achef who has had some really good Mexican food, for the money you can’t go wrong. Luis is especially personable.

Real Mexican food. This is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in Oklahoma City. Not only is the food delicious and priced reasonable, the service is fantastic as well. Buffet on Saturdays is out of this world along with the Best Tacos. I was raised in a border town so I know what I’m talking about.

Excellent Buffet. Tierra Caliente has their Mexican Seafood Buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11-4. I went here today for the second time after not going for over a year. The food was still as good as I remember it. They had Sauteed Shrimp guisado with bell peppers which were good, rice and refried beans, whole fried tilapia, a seafood cocktail with shrimp, crab, octopus, and veggies, ceviche, and non seafood items such as grilled pork chops, caldo de pollo (chicken soup), a seafood soup with fish and shrimp, Caldo de Res (Beef Soup), Posole, and Chicken nuggets and French Fries for the kids. Also they had good fresh salsa, salad, and watermelon. It is around $11 with out the drink but worth it for the seafood dishes that you get on the buffet. Not to mention, the owner is a really nice guy and works hard to maintain his quality. Probably the best Mexican buffet I have been to. Blows places like Pancho’s out of the water.
