This place is a formidable offering to Oklahoma City. Located in Auto alley on Broadway around 8th Street there is parking all over the place. Pay special attention to the digital rotating menu bar at the bar top and consider trying the special daily selections. That’s where we do most of our dining. We’ve been here three or four times now with plans to continue returning. The service meets the mark and the unique food selections, such as Ray Skin, Bluefin, and Skate, are always a great place to consider making your meal.
Visited for lunch today on a Tuesday, only two other tables occupied at 1:45. Nice contemporary decor. The shugiyaki bind were excellent, very flavorful with pork, cilantro and other sweet and savory combination with slight heat. I had the sashimi lunch plate with six generous pieces of fish, spicy tuna roll and salad with poke. Presentation attractive and sashimi very fresh. Waitress was attentive. However the prep time for the sashimi plate was very slow especially considering I was the only active table at the time. That is the main criticism I have. Would return if in the area but would not make it a destination restaurant.
Sushi tapas sounded interesting….the fabulous guitarist was off putting for a minute. It just seemed odd but appropriate given the context of the restaurant… shigoyaki buns ( steamed buns w/ ginger red pork cilantro and chili really fabulous)…then tempura cocktail ( tempura w/ corn romesco different and odd. Worth a try but I won’t be craving it)…salmon with wasabi apple salsa ( name was self explanatory and delicious) finally the big easy roll (tempura horseradish avocado crawfish and picantes something yummy
Nice place for sushi, the rolls are reasonably priced and quite fresh tasting. The stingray app was an interesting change of pace too. The same and drink menu is. I e, but nothing special.
