I’ve been here once and had their sushi ans miso soup and it was pretty awesome. I don’t go out for sushi often but when I do I’m always thrilled to find a great place with a calming atmosphere like this one.
Great atmosphere, even better sushi. They have one of the best Nigiri selections I’ve seen in Oklahoma. Server was very attentive. Priced a bit on the higher side.
Best sushi around! Tempura is good, too. Friendly greetings as we entered and an attentive and fun server. Well worth the drive. Thanks !
Hate sushi but love this restaurant. We were all going out to lunch today for one of our coworkers birthday and she always picks Akira. I don’t care for sushi so today I had the tempura combo platter. Absolutely delicious. The last time we went here I had their steak and it was also terrific. This is such an attractive restaurant and the service and food are both outstanding. I highly recommend Akira in Owasso.
Amazing!. I work nearby and always get carry out. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. There’s so much to choose from and the rolls are very creative. Going to take my husband there tomorrow it’s awesome!
Something has Changed for the Worse. When Akira first opened they were the very best. However, over the past year they have gone down hill. This happened to the Flying Fish in Tulsa. A restaurant the Akira owners once owned and sold. Have they sold Akira?The sushi has been very bad the last few times my family and I have eaten there. The sushi rice is horrible and the rolls flavorless. Happens often to great restaurants. They start off great, gain success, then lower their high standard and business dies off.Old Akira, please return to the high quality and great food you once were known to serve.
Very good and priced well. I heard about this place but when I saw the prices it worried me a little. Most sushi places are much more expensive. However they keep it down. It is very good! Plus they have a full menu for those days you aren’t feeling like sushi. I have had their salmon and this thing called a chicken Kushyaki (sp). It is a chicken Kabob basically. Great stuff! Go there and try it!
