Unprofessional Staff. Very disappointed with our experience at the Owasso Baja Jacks. I was next in line to order our meal and my family (wife and three children) were asked to get up from our table to seat another family. The situation was not handled very professionally and we left to go elsewhere. There were multiple tables who were completely finished eating and about to leave.
Love the idea of restaurant setup, the carnitas and fish tacos were awesome, carne asada – not so much it was very soggy with grease. Salsa bar was cool though, I’ll be coming back!
I wanted to like it. It’s mostly bland food, so if you like the idea of California Mexican but don’t want the full flavor, this is for you. Nothing is spicy or bold but everything is edible. The steak is much better than the chicken or shredded beef. You don’t get as much meat as you do at other places (such as Qdobas), but the fresh avocado is a nice option. There are even 3 tables outside for the short period of time that the weather is nice but not scorching.
The service was fun and I’m in love with the salsa bar.
Soggy lukewarm burrito…grey chicken taste like it’s frozen/dethawed…gross
Pros: Beach music, decor, and friendly staff.Cons: The cleanliness of this restaurant has tanked. The lobby and salsa bar are a mess. Dirty tables everywhere.
Hmmmm….. I was thinking this place might be like Free Birds (don’t ask why it was just the impression I got) and it’s not. The menu left something to be desiered, the prices were on the mildly high for a taquito, and the food was okay. I’d go again, but only if someone else was paying.
