It took 7 minutes to get a seat and Come to find out it wasn’t even half full. Wait staff was slow. Ran out of water twice Ordered fried zucchini which was recommended Come to find out it wasn’t fresh (frozen out of package) . My wife ordered a salad as a side with her steak. It was lettuce 2 cherry tomatoes and the dressing The steak was the only thing that was good but at a price of $24 for a ribeye seemed a little high the area..
Ehh. I took my wife here for our 10th anniversary and was severely underwhelmed. Big steakhouse prices but chain quality food and even lower quality service. The only redeeming thing about this experience was the steak itself. It was cooked well and tasted delicious. We ordered the sauteed mushroom appetizer and received a bowl of sliced button mushrooms. We were not sure how we were supposed to eat them so we just waited and put them on our steaks.I ordered the rib eye with roasted vegetables, baked potato, and the add on shrimp. The roasted vegetables were mostly red and green bell pepper and onion, would have been a great garnish. The baked potato was fine, the toppings were of a low quality. The shrimp were the coup d’etat, $5 for 3 battered shrimp. Battered shrimp where did that come from?!? The only shrimp on the menu was shrimp cocktail, that’s what I was expecting…or being a steakhouse grilled shrimp. Our waitress was either under trained or just an awful waitress. Not unfriendly but not personable. Completely inattentive, I didn’t touch the shrimp she brought and not once did she ask why.All in all it was an experience…just not a good one. Definitely pass on this one, you are better off going to Texas Roadhouse.
This is my families second time to eat at this place. So far both visits have been great. Im not a fan of chain restaurants and steakhouses in shawnee are kind of slim. The food is really good, steaks are good size and they serve complementary cinnamon rolls with the meal. My wife had the sante Fe chicken salad, holy crap that thing was big and very good. Says on the menu the salad dressing is home made and it is excellent. Service was pretty good also a+ for this place
Great Food. My husband and I love this place. This is by far the best steakhouse that we have found in Oklahoma thus far. Food was great and the people are very personable and the customer service was GREAT!
I love this place, great food and decent prices, steaks are always good and tender and my wife loves the salmon. Was an added bonus this weekend when we went in and they are now serving beer and wine. This place is just getting better and better.
Good food. This was the first time my wife and I had been to this restaurant since the change in ownership. As a matter of fact we hadn’t been to Jay’s in probably years. The filets were very good cuts of meat and cooked to the desired temperature. I had chicken livers for an appetizer and they were very good. Potatoes and veggies were good. We didn’t get the complimentary cinnamon rolls. We didn’t know about them and I guess you have to ask. Otherwise, the service was excellent. It’s not a fancy steakhouse, just a country dining room decor but the food is good. I like to have a beer or a cocktail with my steak on a Saturday night so their lack of a bar is the only negative thing I have to say about the place.
Tastes like Mom’s home cooking. I took my sister to Bandana’s Steakhouse for the first time today. I had been several times before for both lunch & dinner. As soon as we walked in we both commented on how good the food smelled coming from the live charcoal grill. Immediately after we sat down, we were greeted by the nicest & friendliest waitress. She answered any questions we had & brought out our food before we knew it. My sister had the steak & it was cooked just like she asked for it to be cooked. She also had a baked potato, corn, salad & roll with her meal. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy, baked potato, corn, salad & roll. All of our food was delicious. We ordered off the lunch menu & I have to admit they had a lot of choices on the menu, even for me as I am a picky eater. The prices were reasonable too. The food was excellent & the staff was nice, just like you would hope a restraunant would be. Heck even the bathroom was clean, a bonus you don’t find often. We will definately be back soon.
